Lori Birkbeck is an award winning, multimedia artist living in Toronto, Canada. She completed her BFA from OCAD University and her artwork has been shown in Japan and Canada.
The work she creates focuses on capturing the delicate, ephemeral aspects of memories and nostalgia by digitally printing her soft focus photographs onto sheer fabric and other materials. She arranges the photos in layers to combine different memories together, distort the images and have them resemble paintings. These layered, cropped photographs reference the countless small details in life and moments that are unnoticed or lost.
Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University. Toronto, Ontario Canada.
